About ReLUVnation

We are exhibiting a whirlwind of concerns about views of others and divided points of view. There are ways of viewing our world and ways of relating that can help our own point of view to veer from slogan-based stances and deal with the ways that the world can distance us from ourselves and others. In time, we can be more present by utilizing the most contemporary ideas to understand our life, mind and body as inter-related. Often people's previous experiences create difficulties for themselves or others. There are helpful ways, though, to utilize to navigate relationships and we explore the important aspects of truth, language, self-awareness, emotionality

The aim of ReLUVnation is to explore the supportive or degrading aspects of relationships towards ourselves and the world. Learn the ways that relational aspects of life are approached and how responses illuminate or constrain different experiences.

About Donna

Hi!  My name is Donna!  I am a Clinical Social Worker who has worked in mental health, addictions, supervised and worked in Employee Assistance.  I knew there was something important about Intersubjective Systems Theory, IST, and was influenced by one of the originators of the contemporary psychoanalytic theory since my undergraduate education at Rutgers University.   It’s complex stuff but also very powerful.  Having completed my initial writings that I started 10 years ago, the concepts are important for positive change in individuals and in the world.  It’s healing and deeply connecting which is why I have poured so much of my heart and soul into the work.  Working with these ideas has effected impressive changes in peoples’ lives!

COACHING AND
PSYCHOEDUCATION
SERVICES

reLUVnation, LLC provides psychoeducation and training based in philosophical principles applied to the multitude of personal and societal impacts of relational experiences. Coaching and Psychoeducation are goal and learning-oriented services. In contrast to psychotherapy, developed out of the effort to cure mental and emotional unease, the coaching tradition stems from a sports background and is skill-based and . Psychotherapy traditionally includes elements of interpretation for which there are different approaches, which a competent therapist can explain their approach and is aware of how they are applying their approach.

The philosophical phenomenology branch of ideas focused on in IST are being found around the world as greatly beneficial to understanding the human condition that individuals are immersed in.  It's an in-depth approach to understanding that the psychotherapist orients their point of view from. Self-reflection and an empowered understanding anchored in self-knowledge is promoted.  We are expanding a community of individuals who share interest and have seen the personal benefits of this perspective. Based in the phenomenology branch of philosophy, the ideas are distinguished from those seen as a traditional theorist’s traumatic reactions embedded in their perspectives while other ideas are identified that can and have been universally utilized for relating to the human condition.

TRAININGs for Mental Health Professionals

Based on an education and theoretical orientation, a full commitment to understanding the patient may or may not be taking place in the therapeutic relationship.  Therapists have a serving role of putting meaning together, not just of applying an approach. We as therapists are also individuals with our own life and family experiences.

A continued understanding that our journey into human experience with our patients is also important. Some of us may have an awareness of our background in the role we employ, which is necessary to the healing relationship. This is the legacy of Intersubjective Systems Theory, of which understanding its principles can help therapists become more whole themselves in how they view their relationships, develop insight and form a unique alliance with the patient as equally empowered in their healing process.
